New Year Fasting 2026

New Year Fasting

Seven Weeks (21 Days) of Fasting and Prayer

January 18th - March 7th

Thank you for joining us for 7 weeks of prayer and fasting. Over the next 7 weeks, starting Sunday, January 18th through Saturday, March 7th, we will be corporately and individually praying, fasting and believing to see miracles, signs and wonders take place. We are asking you to choose any three consecutive days within each of these 7 weeks to fast. Such as: Sun-Mon-Tues OR Mon-Tues-Wed OR Wed-Thurs-Fri OR Thurs-Fri-Sat.

As mentioned, corporately we will be praying for miracles, signs and wonders to be realized throughout the ministry. We will also pray for people to meet Jesus and to be planted in His house. Specific daily prayer directives will be outlined later in this devotional. Individually, your prayer should be very detailed concerning what you are yearning from God. Don’t be afraid to be specific. Why are you fasting? Do you need direction, healing, restoration of marriage? Do you have family issues or other relational issues? Are you facing financial difficulties? Once again, don’t be afraid to be specific. Ask the Holy Spirit for guidance as you pray daily and read the Bible.

We believe these 21 days of prayer and fasting over the 7-week timeframe are going to be instrumental in all that God wants to do this year-in your life personally and throughout all the ministries of Oasis of Love F.G.C.

We encourage you to take part in the 21-Days / 7-Weeks of Fasting and Prayer from Jan.18th – Mar.7th 2026. This will be a season of focused fasting and prayer as a church family. Your personal fast should present a level of challenge / discomfort, but it is very important to know your body, your options, and most importantly, to seek God in prayer and follow what the Holy Spirit leads you to do. It’s typical to fast a single meal, a whole day, or various elements of leisure or pleasure for a specified amount of time. We wholeheartedly believe that the length and the element OF your fast are not as important as the strength of your focus ON God AS you fast.

What is fasting?

Fasting is denying yourself something of necessity or desire to hear from God.

Fasting Type Options

You drink only liquids, typically water with light juices as an option.

Involves removing certain elements from your diet. One example of a selective fast is the Daniel Fast, during which you remove meat, sweets, and bread from your diet and consume water and juice for fluids and fruits and vegetables for food.

Involves abstaining from eating any type of food in the morning and afternoon. This can either correlate to specific times of the day, such as 6:00a – 3:00p, or from sunup to sundown. (Adjust according to awake hours)

Is a great option if you do not have much experience fasting food, have health issues that prevent you from fasting food, or if you wish to refocus certain areas of your life that are out of balance. For example, you might choose to stop using social media or watching television for the duration of the fast and then carefully bring that element back into your life in healthy doses at the conclusion of the fast.

Why Fast?

The goal of fasting is to draw nearer to God. Biblical fasting is about eliminating distractions for a spiritual purpose; it hits the reset button of our soul and renews us from the inside out. It also enables us to celebrate the goodness and mercy of God and prepares our hearts for all the good things God desires to bring into our lives.

Be specific. Thank Him for the forgiveness you have in Christ and ask for help and strength to turn away from future temptations.

Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life.
We have so much to be thankful for. Thank God for His love, His faithfulness, His patience. Express gratitude for what He’s doing in your life.

S — SUPPLICATION
Share your desires with God.
Share your desires with God, no matter how big or small they may seem. Nothing is too big or too small for God. He cares about every detail of your life. Pray for your own needs and for the needs of others.

S — SCRIPTURE
Which verse stood out to you?
Open your Bible to your reading for the day. Take time reading and allow God to speak to you. When you are done, look for a verse that particularly spoke to you that day, and write it in your journal.

O — OBSERVATION

What do you feel God is saying to you in this scripture? Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you and reveal Jesus to you.

A — APPLICATION
How can you apply what you’ve studied today?
Personalize what you have read by asking yourself how it applies to your life right now. Perhaps it is instruction, encouragement, a new promise, or corrections for a particular area of your life. Write how this scripture can apply to you today.

P — PRAYER
Ask God to help you use what you’ve learned.
This can be as simple as asking God to help you use this scripture, or even a prayer for a greater insight on what He may be revealing to you. Remember, prayer is a two-way conversation, so be sure to listen to what God has to say! Now, write it out.

“So, we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He answered our prayer.” - Ezra 8:23

“16 When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18  so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” - Matt. 6:16-18

Prayer Declaration

Our Heavenly Father, if it had not been You on my side, where would I be? Your Grace and Mercy brought me through 2025 and now I have seen the beginning of 2026. I am so thankful, and I appreciate all that You have done for me, my household, the Oasis of Love ministry, members and supporters.

Lord, please forgive me, for at times I’ve had a craving for food, things, and pleasures more than you. Help me to lose my desires for that which weakens me. Help me to acquire a taste for that which strengthens me. Help me to enjoy the feast You prepare for me, right in the middle of the battlefield in the presence of my enemies.

As I fast, I humbly come before You, seeking to deepen my relationship with You. Grant me strength and resolve to endure this time of abstinence, allowing my focus to shift fully towards You. Show me what makes me tired. Show me what masters me and slows me down. Keep me from those distractions and temptations. I pray that You use this period to reveal Your will and purpose for my life.

I ask that You Give me a vision for what freedom looks like for me. I pray that my whole life testifies that the God in Heaven knows me by name. SO, may my life display Your power. I ask that You do the impossible in me and through me as You heal me from the inside out! In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN!

2026 Decrees & Declarations

The Spiritual Significance of the Number 26
The number 26 carries prophetic weight. In Hebrew gematria, which is the practice of exploring Hebrew words and phrases by their numerical value, to uncover hidden meanings in the Bible, the sacred name of God — YHWH (יהוה), which is the unpronounceable name of God, equals 26. This is not random. This is covenantal. Another interesting fact is that you can find this truth, 26 represents God, in the English language as well. If you assign A = 1, B = 2, C =3, and so on up to Z = 26, you find that the word GOD = G7 + O15 + D4 = 26, as well.

Pastor Corey proclaims 2026 to be a year where God’s presence is to be emphasized, which will lead to potential breakthroughs, new growth and a focus on divine purpose being revealed. When you know who you are, you acknowledge that you carry the Divine purpose that God placed upon you. When you know whose you are, you recognize that your God-given identity cannot be stolen and your purpose as a revival agent cannot be overturned. And when you know what you have, you understand that your failures refine you, not disqualify you; that you can be despised but still anointed.

SO, with that, we as individuals and as a church, WE DECREE AND DECLARE...

  • My attitude is fixed in 2026
  • I refuse to drink from the well of frustration
  • I refuse to drink from the well of fear and discouragement
  • That every activity of the devil plotted against me and my family shall not prosper
  • Any powers of darkness assigned to turn my fruitfulness into barrenness is dead
  • That what the enemy says about me shall not manifest
  • Only God’s will and word for my life shall come to pass
  • That my life will be an amazing wonder for all to see and hear about Your goodness in my life
  • My life shall flourish in 2026, my destiny shall make progress in 2026 by the power in the blood of Jesus
  • That all my divine benefits and portions shall be released by the power of God
  • That the Peace of God, and the Joy of God will not cease in my life but shall overflow
  • Any power that wants to drain my resources and turn me into a financial beggar will be scattered and destroyed
  • The fiery arrows of sickness and disease assigned for me and my family will be quenched
  • That God will divinely connect me to people that will lift me up in life and destiny
  • That the Holy Spirit will renew my mind daily with God’s Word, purify my motives, and help align my actions with the mandate of heaven
  • That the Holy Spirit will empower me to live a life that glorifies and honors God
  • That every single month in 2026, I shall operate under continuous open heavens
  • The God of all flesh, The Man of war, my Father, shall fight for me, and I shall hold my peace
  • I will not be restricted or limited by what man says is impossible, because IF I believe, ALL things are possible with God
  • That absolutely no weapon formed against me in will prosper, and any mouth that rises in Judgment against me they are condemned
  • Divine favor, divine lifting, divine speed, divine peace, divine grace, divine abundance shall be my portion and my family’s portion
  • That God is worthy of ALL the praise for answering prayers.
  • I’ve heard the prophecy that Oasis of Love will see uncommon fruitfulness, progress and growth in 2026.
  • We will rise with holy boldness
  • We will stand in the victory of Jesus Christ
  • I pray all these decrees and declarations in Jesus’ Name, It is So…So shall it be. AMEN!

***…IN THE NAME OF JESUS’, WE PRAY ALL THESE THINGS, AMEN!.

***Here at Oasis of Love Full Gospel Church, we believe that praying ‘in Jesus’ name’ is about asking God in
faith through Jesus, acknowledging Him as the only mediator, and seeking God’s will for His glory. We’re not
just saying words, as though saying ‘in Jesus’ name’ at the end of a prayer is some kind of magic formula.
Because, IF what we ask for or say in prayer is not for God’s glory and according to His will, saying ‘in Jesus’
name’
is doesn’t mean a thing, and it would be absolutely unbiblical.

But we say ‘in Jesus’ name’ because it is rooted in Scripture where Jesus promised that asking in His name
allows the Father to act, granting access, authority, and hope through Christ's finished work for believers to bear
fruit. The Bible says: “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the
Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
John 14:13-14.

Praying ‘in Jesus’ name’ means praying with His authority and asking God the Father to act upon our prayers
because we come in the name of His Son, Jesus. Praying ‘in Jesus’ name’ means the same thing as praying according to the will of God, The Bible says: “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we
ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we
know that we have what we asked of Him” 1st John 5:14-15.
Praying ‘in Jesus’ name’ is praying for things
that will honor and glorify Jesus.

When you genuinely pray ‘in Jesus’ name’ and for His glory is what is important, not just attaching certain
words to the end of a prayer. It is not the words in the prayer that matter, but the purpose behind the prayer.
Praying for things that are in agreement with God’s will is the essence of praying ‘in Jesus’ name’.
